New in Ars Nova Copenhagen: Hanne Marie le Fevre

Ars Nova has a new member: Hanne Marie le Fevre. We are proud and happy to welcome her into the group!

Hanne paticipated in our latest project in December 2016, where she impressed us in such a way that it was an easy choice to ask her if she would be our new alto.

Hanne works primarily in the field of baroque, improvised and contemporary music. As an ensemble singer she works with Ars Nova Copenhagen, Holmens Choir and Vocal Ensemble, Jutland Vocal Ensemble and Musica Ficta. Earlier she has had her own experimental chamber ensemble Ensemble Cento. As a soloist she performs al over Denmark especially with the two early music orchestras Ensemble Zimmermann and BaroqueAros.

Her work is mainly project-orientated and her interest in cross-aesthetic collaboration have led to projects like the Shadow Play for Children, the album Pangea – Reality (2014) and several other independent projects that includes experimental work with both electronic and jazz musicians, actors and dancers. Recently she explored the meeting between the tradition of Indian and Danish classical music, which emerged into a performance in Auroville, India.

Besides her engagement in the field of music, she has a great passion for exploring new kinds of communities, education and communication forms. Earlier she has led an arranged cultural salons with the vision of creating a living and playful laboratory between people and she’s also been teaching in workshops regarding this subject.

Hanne Marie le Fevre replace Rebecca Forsberg Svendsen, whom has chosen another path in her music life. We will miss Rebecca's lovely nature and beautiful singing and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
