Mats Lillhannus - new tenor
We are happy to welcome Mats Lillhannus as a member of Ars Nova Copenhagen in the new year. We had an extremely strong international field of applicants at our audition and the choice hasn't been easy. And then again. Mats showed all the qualities that we seek in a singer: soloistic power, flexible ensemble singing, musical surpluss and an extremely nice personality.
Mats' first concert with Ars Nova Copenhagen will be Monday February 1st at Njord Festival in Copenhagen, where the group perfoms two pieces by Kaija Saariaho. We find it very suitalbe to present our new Finnish tenor with Finnish music. One would almost believe that it was planned!
