We are delighted to welcome back Andrew Lawrence-King to lead Ars Nova Copenhagen, together with members of The Harp Consort, in a semi-staged performance of the famous Ludus Danielis. This 13th-century miracle play from Beauvais Cathedral recounts the story of Belshazzar’s Feast, the Writing on the Wall, and Daniel in the Lions’ Den. Guest soloist Wolodymyr Smishkewych will sing the role of Daniel, in this ‘medieval opera’, a dramatic masterpiece and an exuberant party.
