A little Night Music

Tuesday, Sep 7th 2010 - 8:00pm
Arranged by: Ars Nova Copenhagen

In this program we repeat part of the program performed in New Yorks Lincoln Center on August 13th: Georgy Ligeti's Lux Aeterna (used by Stanley Kubrick in 2001: A space Odyssey) and Iannis Xenakis' desperate Nuits which is written in memory of a number of named persons who became victims to violent regimes. We also give the world premiere of Inuit Song by Askell Masson who is Ars Nova's composer in residence in 2010-2011 and from Denmark you can hear an early minimal piece by Svend-Erik Werner and the all time classic Three Motets by Carl Nielsen.
